These tales flutter and cry,
Spent in the wasteland, The omnipotent being readies his hand, Pretentious foot caught in the doorway, Ear against the wall just to hear me say, Hello my friend, This time I’m here to stay,
And standing in the dark, With a glimmer in his eye, Thought I saw the dull shadow, Of a memory passing by, Still as a skipping

The shallow voice of silence, Moments spent in which we mime, Seeking cool intelligence, In the thoughts we hold divine,
The deadliest of weapons, Are the ones we do not brandish, Pacify these calming waves, As we move, we may soon vanish,
Hold on to a dream so true, As if there is nothing left to do, I believe in peace as much, As I cast my faith in you,
Oh, take me to a place where we’ll go hand in hand, Meaning plunged within our veins, Across these hallowed lands, Shift the balance in o

Pacing the floor in circles, Like a black cat, Searching for his shadow in the dark, Amidst the painted skies, The tide has risen, And yet here I am without an arc,
Tempered by degrees of conversive thought, Weathered in the breakdown of the life that I have wrought, Upon this broken tree,
As it reaches out for something more to see, But how do you touch the sky, When there’s nothing really there to set you free?
Escape beckons in the sanctum of the dawn, To pacify my soul of which these demons don’t belong,
